EUROPE CAPITAL

We have done a presentation of a European capital, I have chosen Firenze because I think a very beautiful city andhas also a lot of cultural interest. To do the presentation we have used the pechakucha technic, whic consists in 20 slights with 20 second each one.

POLITICAL MARKETING

CIUDADANOS

This poster is the one which Ciudadanos used for the general elections. We can see Albert Rivera, the president of the political party, in the middle of the poster with their slogan (¡Vamos! Ciudadanos) written in big letter. In the backgruond we can see spanish flags and orange flags (the color of the party). 

With their slogan I think they wanted to call the people to vote in the elections, to vote them. Saying "¡Vamos!" I think they are saying that they can win, because some people thinks that voting Ciudadanos is not usefull because PP has been the winning party for lost of years. Personally, from a marketing point of view, I don´t like the slogan because I think is so general, is not directed to a concret votant. 

The polls said that Ciudadanos was going to win 46 seats, 14 more than in the previous ones. The polls were so near of the reality, Ciudadanos won 57 seats, only 11 more than the predicted, winning 25 more seats than in the previous elections.

In conclusion, Cidadanos wanted to move the votes from the right with their slogan and poster, and they got their objective (not at all, because they didn´t win) winning the double of votes than in previous elections.

PARTIDO POPULAR

In PP´s poster we can see Pablo Casado, the presindent pf the party, smiling in one side next to their slogan," Valor Seguro", written in blue letters, because that is the color of the party. 

With "Valor seguro" I think they have a double message. In one side I think they are saying that they are the only right party that can win and avoid a left gobernment, and in the other side they are saying that they are going to comply every promess they have done during the political campaing.

The polls announced that PP was going to loss votes in comparation with the last elections, they announced they were going to win 78 seats, even if they said the party was going to loss votes they lost more than the expected, winning only 66 seats, 71 less than in previous elections and 12 less than the predicted.

In conclusion, PP wanted to mantein the votes they had and to win more, but they failed lossing a lot of seats and having one of their worst results in lots of years.

PARTIDO SOCIALISTA

In this poster we can see the face of Pedro Sanchez, the president of the party, in black and white next to their slogan, "Haz que pase" written in red, the colour of the party.

With "Haz que pase" I think thye were saying to left votants that they had to vote him because he is the only possibility of a left party winning and avoiding Ciudadanos and PP form a right goberment whith the ultra right Vox.

The polls announced PSOE was going to win the elections with 129 seats, they hit with their prediction because PSOE won the election only with 6 seats less than the predicted. They won 123 seats, 38 more than in previous elections.

In conclusion Pedro Sanchez called the people from the center to move to the left and to the left ones to vote for PSOE, winning with this strategy and with 123 seats the general elections.

WOMEN AND SCIENCE

We are going to do an interactive poster about women and science. For that we will be going to universities to do some short interviews to female science students. Here are some of the questions we have intention to find the answers to.

HUMAN RIGHTS VIDEO

We had to do a video about the human right for a contest, we were four teams in class and each one of us did one video, then we chose the one that we were going to present for the contest. Doing the video we had a lot of problems: our idea was not good enough, we had not time to do the shooting as good as we wanted and the story is difficult to understand. I think that if we would have more time we would do it much better.

SECOND TERM EVALUATION AND THIRD TERM

We are starting the third and last term in audio-visual culture. We are going to work on music and podcast, internet and the social networking and advertisment and marketing. When we started with this blog and the subject I though I would really like the subject, but now I see that my expectations were so high and even if I like the work we do I don´t like how we work on it. Looking at the work completed so far, I think I have given it my best shot even if at times the work wasn´t that appealing.

BIRD BOX

This is a film directed by Susanne Bier and based on a novel by Josh Malerman. It  is a 2018 movie produced by Netflix. It is 124min long, 2h 4min, with a budget of $19.8 million. The main character is Malorie, interpreted by Sandra Bullock, everything starts when she is pregnant and some supernatural entities start to spread all around the world and causse everyone who looks at them commit suicide. Then she is on the car with her sister when everyone, including her sister becomes crazy and start to commit suicide. Then, scared, she goes into a house where will be surviving with more people, between then another pregnant woman. Both of them will have their child and they will promess to protect both cildren in case of something happen to any of them. Most of them die during the film. Then there is a jump in to and Malorie appears in a forest next to river with the children and some birds in a box, that can notice the entities. Finally they discover a blind house, which is self-sufficient and where they can live. As the apocalypse makes you commit suiccide when you look at it it doesn´t affect to the blind people that is living now happy and all together.

The shoting is not expeciall, is just at the same camera leve as the rest films made nowadays. However the cuality of the shooting of the camera is good, it helps the tension reaching the audience better. Personally I liked the film but not really a lot, I mean is entertaining and you don´t get bored but the idea of the plot and the apocalypse is not so appealing to me, but I recommend the film to espectator that like this type of post-apocalyptic thriller films.

Pitch

DATA SHEET:

Famous film made in 1960 in the USA. Long film of 1h 49min, 109 minutes.

PLOT:

-A young woman is sturbed in a motel and her sister and boyfriend will try to find out what happenned to her.

-The motel owner will be important, he lives next to the motel with his mother, he has a strange relationship with her.

INTERESTIN POINTS:

- The person who appears first as the main character dies too fast, and that was something new.

-The use of camera is modern, especially in action scenes.

FILM analysis

PSHYCO

Pshyco was filmed in 1960 in the USA. It was directed by Alfred Hitchcock, famous director because of his suspense and thriller films, and with Anthony Perkins (Bates) and Janet Leigh (Marion) in the leading roles. It is based on a novel by Robert Bloch. It´s about a motel owner who has two different personalities and that struggles to have full control of either one of them. 

Marion steals money from her boss and dissapears whithout anyone, she stops to sleep in a motel in the middle of nowhere and it just so happens that she is the only gest. During the night, while she is having a shower she is sturbed to death. Then the murderer puts her body in her car and drives it into a lake. The motel is owned by Bates and he lives in the following house. Then Marion´s sister and bofriend, worried about her, help a private detective who was searching Marion because of the stolen money to find her. He discovers that Marion slept on Bates motel and he is also murdered. As they know nothing about the detective they go to motel and discover the truth. Bates after the death of his mum he couldn´t accept it so he addopted her personality, and he thinks she stills alive.

My favourite character was Bates, because he was so inteligent. He is the bad of the history and usually  people don´t like that character but I think he was so good been bad. A scene to point out from the film is the main action when Marion is sturbed wiht a knife, this is very famous and one of the most influencial scenes on cinematography industry. Marion is killed by Bates whith his mother personallity (so we can say that it was his mother), she wanted to be the only woman on his son live so when he likes a girl his mum is jealous and she killes her.

The actors work is so good, every situation and conversation looks so realist and I think that´s one of the strong points of the film, that everything is true and realistic, is innovative because is the first film showing this mental diseasse to the public. The movie flows so good, fast enough not to worry and slow enough to understand it, a good use of the camera and the music helps on that. The use of camera is so innovative and modern for that time, Hitchcock was the pioneer of a lot of new cinematography thecnics, he used a lot of close ups, for example we can see one in the scene previously mentioned to the knife, he also used the camera as the eyes of a characther to give more realisim and a new point of view to the scene, it also makes that the action reach better the public as they are been puting in the place of the character. The music is also important, the film has a very good soundtrack, it goes with the film all the time creating tension and expentation. Some parts of teh soundtrack have became so popular, for example the music of the shower scene is well-known.

In conclucion Pshyco is a good film because of the resources it uses and the captivating story. Personally I like and recommend the film because is very important on cinematography history so everyone who likes filming have to watch it and also people who doesn´t like cinematography will like it because the plot is thrilling and the film cativates the public from the beginning.

A PICTURE

There was a photographic contest and we had to take a picture in our school´s neighborhood. Then I went to Sert square and took this two pictures. In the first one we see two palm trees using the rule of thirds. And on the second one we see the square itself.

THE PRESENTATION

First we started thinking about a product that children and teenageers usually like, then we thought about the chips because a lot of people like then, so we thought why not to do some krisssia chips? And that is our final product: chips made of krissia, first we have to cut the krissia and then put it into the oven is enough to become it crunchy. Then the next point we had to though about was the package and we choose to do some small packages that would we so cheap, because we don´t want them to be expensive. One of the main virtues is that as they are made of fish they are healthy, more than other chips, which is a good point for the consumer and also to sell it . Another virtue is that the product is easy to eat, it can be eaten everywhere and when you want.

VISUAL THINKING

While we were working on the project an expert in visual thinking, called Javier De Miguel came to work with us, to gave us a visual thinking class. First we started painting basic things, like houses, trees or ideas. Then he splained us how to do a visual map. And finally we did the concept map, this is the one we did.
